How to Set Up Push to Talk
The Push to Talk feature allows people to call each other and have the call answered automatically (depending on the Auto Answer setting), either as a one-way call, or a two-way call, providing point-to-point intercom functionality between two phones in the same group.
- Login to the Voice Manager
- Select Settings
- Select Advanced Configuration
- On the Calling Features page, locate Push to Talk (Call Control)
- Turn Auto Answer On/Off as desired
- Click Edit to configure
- Click Save
Push to Talk
To originate a Push to Talk call on your telephone, dial * followed by the two-digit feature access code assigned to the Push to Talk feature, followed by the extension of the user you wish to call. Users must be configured in the Selected users column for the feature to work.
To view the feature access codes, click the Utilities tab and then Feature Access Codes (located in the left navigation menu).
Note: Your Administrator can configure your Push to Talk service by accessing Voice Administration in the Customer Portal.
