Cisco 8832 Wired Microphone Kit
The Cisco 8832 Wired Microphone Kit includes two wired microphones designed to be installed with the Cisco IP Conference Phone 8832. These microphones connect to the primary speaker base unit. If a secondary (daisy chain) base kit is used, one wired microphone is installed on the primary base and the other on the secondary base. Note that wired and wireless microphones cannot be mixed or used together.
The wired microphone kit enhances room coverage, supporting up to 22 participants in a 20x34-foot room when used with the 8832 base unit. The microphones have a cable length of 7 feet and should be placed between 3 to 7 feet from the base for optimal performance.
To connect the wired microphones, simply plug them into the ports located on the left and right sides near the center of the phone base. When connected during a call, the microphone LED around the Mute button lights green; pressing Mute turns it red. Disconnecting is as simple as unplugging the microphones.
